Calculating deposits with credit-card transactions is not a difficult task. This exercise is designed to allow you to search for sales and refunds. Assume the following scenario: A customer orders three books on-line from the Barnes and Noble Web site. The book order was paid for by credit card. First, start at www.barnesandnoble.com; scrolling down the page, click on www.textbooks.com and locate the following information:

  1. Locate three different mathematics textbooks; list the ISBN and the price. Assume no tax and shipping.

  2. Compute the total sales from the three books.

  3. Now assume that when the book order arrives, one of the books selected is no longer available. The customer has been credited for that book. Calculate the amount the customer that will be billed.
