Keyword: bonds Primary URL: quote.pathfinder.com

Monty Procopio received a $3019 federal income tax refund this year. He decided to buy some bonds with his refund, and consulted his father on what to buy. His father suggested that Monty investigate three corporations, Amresco, Loews, and Mobil. Procopio had some questions about how these three bond-issuing companies were performing.

Procopio visited quote.pathfinder.com/money/quote/qc/, and entered each of the company symbols in the box labeled "Quotes." He started with Amresco (AMMB). Next, he entered Loews (LTR) and then Mobil (MOB).

Answer the following questions about these three companies. Start at quote.pathfinder.com/money/quote/qc/, and enter the company symbol. Then, click "Go" to call up current company information. Select "ANALYST REPORTS," and answer the following questions for each company.

  AMMB LTR MOB
1. How many brokers recommend each company as:

  • a strong buy
  • moderate buy
  • hold
  • moderate sell
  • strong sell
2. What is the rank of this company, and how many companies are in this industry?

Write the answer under the appropriate company as a fraction. Example: if AMMB ranked 12 out of 18, the answer would be written 12/18.
